Rapid-C+, our real-time air microbial detector, enables simultaneous viable and total particle counting. Together with real-time optical analysis, it integrates the certified active air sampler C-Catch for continuous air sampling for identification.

When using the traditional method for microbial air sampling, there is always a probability that two or more viable microorganisms enter the same hole, resulting in a single Colony-Forming Unit (CFU) instead of two.

Named the “Coincidence Error”, this phenomenon can affect the accuracy of your results. The Feller Conversion Table provides a statistical adjustment to account for the probability that multiple viable particles enter the same hole.

At Plair SA, we have integrated this correction tool directly into our PlairGrid dashboard, allowing you to apply it instantly within the interface when using C-Catch of Rapid-C+.
